Former Strawberry Crest athlete killed in accident

Former Strawberry Crest student Daniel Wisnesky was killed in a motorcycle accident on State Road 574 near Interstate 75 late Monday night.
Wisneskey, 18, who participated on the track team and was a linebacker for the Chargers football team, was driving east on a Kawasaki motorcycle at 10 p.m. Monday. According to troopers Wisneskey failed to stop for a red light, colliding with the passenger side of a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Jose David Perez, 51, of Riverview.
According to the troopers, Wisnesky died at the scene, while Perez suffered minor injuries.
Last season as a senior at Strawberry Crest, Wisesky recorded 54 total tackles and two interceptions. He was also part of a 4x100 meter team that advanced to regionals.
