Former Robinson High standout and Alabama All-American Javier Arenas has signed a four-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, his agent Hadley Engelhard said.
Arenas, a cornerback and return specialist for the national champion Crimson Tide, was the 50th overall pick in this year’s draft and taken in the second-round by the Chiefs.
Last season, Arenas recorded 70 tackles, five sacks and five interceptions for the undefeated Crimson Tide. He holds the SEC record for career punt return touchdowns and is the two-time Punt Return Trophy recipient of the College Football Performance Awards.
