Sheldon Cooley, Plant High’s all-time leading scorer, is off to a great start in his junior year at East Tennessee State. He’s currently second in the nation in steals per game with 3.8 through four games.

ETSU is currently 3-1 and boats four area players on its roster. Former Armwood point guard Adam Sollazzo, now a senior at ETSU, is averaging 9.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and a team-high 5.5 assists per game. Cooley is averaging 8.3 points, former Ridgewood center Lukas Poderis is averaging 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds and freshman Rashawn Rembert, who played at Sickles, is averaging 2.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
