Former Oldsmar Christian guard Chris Perez, who signed with Liberty in 2009, has decided to transfer to Stetson.
Last season, Perez played in 31 games with three starts as a freshman at Liberty, averaging 5.5 points in over 15 minutes a game. At Stetson, Perezwill join a recruiting class that includes Clearwater’s Adam Pegg.
A 6-foot-3 scoring guard and three-stare recruit his senior year, Perez led Oldsmar with 24.0 points per game and chose the Flames over Utah State, Northeastern, Fordham and Stetson.
Perez also played with current Florida Gator and McDonald’s All-American Kenny Boynton as a member of the AAU 17-under national champion Team Breakdown.
