Former Land O’ Lakes TE Caz Piurowski gets ACC honors

Caz Piurowski, the Florida State and former Land O’ Lakes tight end, was named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Week. Piurowski, who also has spent time at offensive tackle, hauled in two receptions for 78 yards – a career high.

His 53-yard catch, which led to a score, was the longest reception by a n FSU tight end since a 78-yard TD reception by Lonnie Johnson in 1993. Piurowski’s blocking is credited with helping the Seminoles rack up more than 400 yards of offense in their 19-9 victory against Jacksonville State.
