Former Gators golfer to play in PGA event

There will be six former University of Florida golfers at the 2011 McGladrey Classic tomorrow, but it will be a first professional appearance for one of them.
Phillip Choi qualified for the PGA Tour event at Seaside Course in Sea Island, Ga. Other former Gators slated to tee off there are Chris Couch, Billy Horschel, Brian Gay, Chris DiMarco and Will Strickler
Choi, a 2011 PING Second Team All-American at UF, turned pro after his sophomore season earlier this year, when he placed 10 times in the top 10.
All four rounds – Thursday - Sunday – of the 2011 McGladrey Classic will be televised live on the Golf Channel.
