Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Derrick Ward is slated to visit Houston according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Ward was released by Tampa Bay earlier this week following an unimpressive season in 2009 and a lackluster showing during the offseason.
The article also states Seattle could be interested in Ward.
A change of scenery might be good for Ward because he never seemed happy in Tampa. Ward rushed 114 times for 409 yards and 1 TD last season and showed up to training camp this year out of shape. Coach Raheem Morris also was not pleased with Ward’s attitude during the preseason and backup RB Kareem Huggins emerged to take his place.
