Land O’ Lakes LB Cannon offered preferred walk-on at USF

Add the University of South Florida to the growing list of teams to show interest in Land O’ Lakes LB Jackson Cannon.

Cannon, who received a scholarship offer from Division II Nebraska-Kearney 10 days ago, is being courted by the Bulls as a preferred walk-on, LOL coach Brian Wachtel texted on Wednesday.

This means Cannon would not initially be given a scholarship to commit to playing football for USF, but could earn one in the future at Coach Skip Holtz’s discretion depending on his performance.

Cannon is a two-time All-Pasco County first-team linebacker who had 89 tackles in his senior year.
