Final: Villanova 74, USF 49

Well, it got out of hand pretty quickly in the second half. Villanova, maybe looking ahead to Saturday’s showdown with Syracuse, played down to USF’s level early on, then pulled away strongly to a 25-point victory.
Where does this leave USF? The answer, pretty clearly, can be stated in three letters: N I T.
Then again, that probably sounds pretty good to North Carolina right now.
