The USF men’s basketball team just did something it has never done: win back-to-back Big East games.
A mini-celebration is going on here on press row as the players slap hands with the fans in the student section behind USF’s bench.
After Jarrid Famous made the first of two free throws to put USF up by two with five seconds left, he missed the second one.
However, before Seton Hall could get off a potential game-winning shot, Pirates forward Robert Mitchell dribbled the ball off his foot and it ended up in Jarrid Famous’ hands to seal the win.
USF also beat Seton Hall for the first time. The Bulls were 0-7 all-time against the Pirates.
Dominique Jones finished with a team-high 28 points after his 46-point effort in a win at Providence on Saturday.
