SYRACUSE, N.Y. USF finally broke back into the win column Friday night, defeating Syracuse 37-17 at the Carrier Dome.
Demetris Murray scored two of the Bulls four rushing touchdowns, Maikon Bonani kicked three field goals and the defense came up with some big stops in the fourth quarter as USF snapped a program worst four game losing streak.
USF (5-4, 1-4 in Big East) needs one more win to become bowl eligible for a seventh consecutive season. The Bulls close the regular season with three consecutive home games, the first being Nov. 19 against Miami.
