Miami kicker Jake Wieclaw connected on a 36-yard field goal on the final play of regulation, lifting the Hurricanes to a 6-3 victory over USF on Saturday at Raymond James Stadium.
USF’s defense limited Miami to 316 total yards of offense and sacked quarterback Jacory Harris six times, but the Bulls offense managed just 249 total yards and had to play much of the second half without starting quarterback B.J. Daniels, who left the game with a right shoulder injury.
Miami improves to 6-5 and with the win becomes bowl eligible. USF falls to 5-5 on the year.
