Expected lineup for Monday’s Lightning game in Regina

Here are the expected lineups for both teams for Monday night’s game in Regina, Saskatchewan at the Brandt Centre against the Ottawa Senators:
Forwards – Brandon Bochenski, Ryan Craig, Steve Downie, Todd Fedoruk, Adam Hall, Martins Karsums, Brett McLean, Drew Miller, Juraj Simek, Paul Szczechura, Dana Tyrell, James Wright. Defense – Kurtis Foster, Lukas Krajicek, Matt Lashoff, Matt Smaby, Matt Walker, Ty Wishart. Goaltenders – Antero Niittymaki, Riku Helenius.
Expected Ottawa lineup: Forwards – Milan Michalek, Mike Fisher, Jason Spezza, Chris Kelly, Chris Neil, Ryan Shannon, Alex Kovalev, Jonathan Cheechoo, Peter Regin, Zack Smith, Nick Foligno, Jarkko Ruutu. Defense – Chris Phillips, Chris Campoli, Filip Kuba, Matt Carkner, Jared Cowen, Brian Lee, Erik Karlsson. Goaltenders – Brian Elliott, Mike Brodeur
Yes, I’m aware there are seven defenseman and 11 forwards listed for Ottawa. That’s the lineup I was given.

Hi Erik,
I’m a Bolts fan living in the Pac NW. Are Vinny, Marty, and Stamkos on the trip and do you think we will be able to see them in Everett?

Digger - I too will be at the game tomorrow night and the answer to both questions is YES! League rules prohibit guys from playing in back-to-back preseason games. This means whoever plays tonight will NOT be able to play in Everett. So we should be seeing Vinny, Marty, Stammer and (hopefully) Smitty and Tic (though it could be Janus but I hope not).

Rick Tocchet did not reveal who will be in tomorrow’s lineup, but he said there is a good chance some guys will be playing in back to back nights. There are league rules prohibiting players from playing in three consecutive nights, but they can play in back to back nights. Tocchet indicated that Mike Smith could play tomorrow, but didn’t totally committ to that. My guess is most of the bigger names will play in Everett because most are contractually obligated to play in Thursday’s game in Winnipeg.

cool guys. I’m going to be at the game tomorrow as well. Hopefully, Vinny, Marty and Stammer will play. Those tickets were not cheap.

Lightning coach Rick Tocchet today did not say who he planned to play in Tuesday’s game in Everett, but since none of the top guys are in tonight’s game, and with the team contractually obligated to play the likes of Lecavalier, St. Louis, Stamkos and Ohlund in Thursday’s game in Winnipeg, I would expect to see these guys in the lineup on Tuesday.
And while there are rules in place in terms of how often guys can play, the rule is nobody can play on three consecutive nights. They are allowed to play in back-to-back games.

Guys, wanted to pass along that I’ve seen the lineup for tomorrow night, and while I’m not at liberty at this time to divulge who is expected to be in the lineup, suffice it to say I don’t think you are going to be to pleased with what you see. Look for the full lineup at some point tomorrow morning.
