Former Hillsborough High kicker Evan Colborne, now a freshman at Colgate, was named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance Saturday during the Raiders’ victory over Georgetown.
Colborne had a career-high seven points in Colgate’s 31-14 win over the Hoyas. Colborne made his only field goal attempt, a 30-yarder, and converted all four of his extra point attempts.
On the season, Colborne is 3-of-5 on field goal attempts and 23-of-26 on extra point attempts. His 32 points rank fourth on the team.
Colborne, a 2009 Hillsborough grad who also played soccer in high school, was a two-year letterwinner for Hillsborough football team. He was a team captain as a senior when he handled place kicker and punting duties for the Terriers.
