Former Jesuit High standout baseball player Ryan Lockwood continues to rake in the honors following an impressive first season at the University of South Florida.
Lockwood on Tuesday was named to the Rivals.com Freshman All-America team. Lockwood, a redshirt freshman at USF, was named to the first team.
That honor comes on the heels of Lockwood being named a first-team All-American by Baseball America on Monday.
Lockwood, who previously received All-American honors from Louisville Slugger, the National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Association and Ping! Baseball and was named the Freshman Player of the Year by Collegiate Baseball newspaper, hit .415 with 44 runs scored and 37 RBI for the Bulls this past season. Lockwood ended the season with a 30-game hitting streak; his season was cut short due to broken finger.
