Ex-Gator Blakely to make official visit to USF

Former University of Florida running back Mike Blakely, who is in the process of transferring, will make an official visit to USF this weekend, according to his high school coach.
Blakely, a former standout at Bradenton Manatee and one of the nation’s top recruits at his position out of high school, made an unofficial visit to USF on Monday to meet with Bulls coaches, and things went well enough that he’ll make a quick return trip, longtime Manatee High coach Joe Kinnan said.
Kinnan said Blakely, a December high school graduate who spent just one semester in Gainesville, plans to enroll at his new school this summer. If he goes directly to another Division I program, he’d have to sit out the 2011 season but would still have four years of eligibility.
