Former Leto baseball player Rolando Peraza, the Falcons’ top hitter in his final two seasons, has accepted a scholarship to play at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Alabama, Leto coach J.J. Pizzio said Monday.
Peraza, a 2009 grad, spent the past year working out with the Falcons while recovering from an arm injury, Pizzio said. As a senior, Peraza hit .486 with eight doubles, five home runs and 37 RBIs.
Two other Leto players, recent grads P.J. Leto and Alberto Rodriguez, recently signed with Lurleen B. Wallace.
