TAMPA USF is 15 minutes away from moving to 2-0 on the season, and the Bulls are comfortably ahead of visiting Ball State, 37-0.
Junior running back Darrell Scott capped USF’s lone touchdown drive in the quarter with a 1-yard run. It was the first touchdown at USF for Scott.
Junior quarterback B.J. Daniels has put together a career game, completing 28 of 39 passes for 359 yards through three quarters. Daniels had come out of the game after leading the offense on its first series of the second half, which ended in a missed field goal, but returned under center after the second-teamers struggled to get anything going on the next possession.
Daniels guided the offense on a six-play, 65-yard drive in under two minutes, which was capped by Scott’s score.
