Embody to walk on at SMU

CDS Prep senior quarterback Billy Embody will accept a preferred walk-on spot at Southern Methodist University, Patriots coach Lane McLaughlin said.
Embody visited the school, located in Dallas, over the weekend. He already has earned two academic scholarships and could possibly earn another, which would more than cover his expenses.
Embody passed for a combined 3,863 yards and 43 touchdowns in his final two seasons with the Patriots, including 1,836 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior.
SMU is a Division I (Football Bowl Subdivision) program that competes in Conference USA.
