Ely invited to showcase

Somebody thinks Hillsborough County quarterbacks are dreamy.
Plant’s Phillip Ely is the third quarterback in the county to receive an invitation to the Steve Clarkson Dreammaker Quarterback Showcase at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando on April 10. Jefferson’s Quentin Williams and Plant City’s Bennie Coney also received invitations.
Ely will be unable to attend the showcase because of a prior commitment. Last season, Ely overcame a stress fracture in his lower back forcing him to the sideline for several games to help lead his Panthers team to their second-consecutive state title.
