East Bay’s Shytina Harley made history Thursday night.
The senior completed a rare career-double/double by recording her 1,000th rebound. Last week, Harley reached the 1,000-point milestone. It’s the first time in Indians’ history a girls player has accomplished both.
Harley needed just three rebounds to reach 1,000 entering Thursday night’s game against Spoto. She made it midway through the second quarter. Harley likely would have obtained the necessary rebounds Tuesday night, but Freedom was forced to forfeit its game against East Bay because their bus transportation failed to show up.
East Bay lost to Spoto, 58-57. Harley finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
