Three of Hillsborough County’s top senior baseball players have been named preseason All-Americans.
Alonso senior pitcher Thomas Dorminy, Jesuit senior pitcher Daniel Gibson and Tampa Catholic senior catcher Shane Rowland each were first team picks on the 2010 Louisville Slugger Pre-Season High School All-American team.
The team is compiled by the staff at Collegiate Baseball newspaper. The players are chosen from nominations received by their high school coach and recommendations received from other coaches and scouts.
In addition, Alonso senior infielder Tyler Ding was an honorable mention selection on this year’s squad.

The high school baseball regular season begins in Florida on Feb. 15.
