Pasco County:

Don’t believe the MySpace hype, Arline not done for season

Apparently rumors have been flying around that Ridgewood RB Byronell Arline is out for the season with a broken foot and the main vehicle for the rumor has been MySpace, but you can’t believe everything you read on the internet.

Ridgewood coach Chris Taylor said Wednesday that Arline went through the whole practice without issue and that the turf toe he suffered a couple of weeks ago isn’t bothering him anymore. Arline still wears the walking boot given to him last week when he’s not in practice as a precaution. Taylor said they want to make sure Arline doesn’t stub his toe around the house or school or have someone accidentally step on it, negating all the progress he’s made.

Taylor said Arline looked good in practice, isn’t limping when the boot is off and that he’s ready to go Friday when the Rams host East Lake in their Kickoff Classic.

In other Ridgewood news, T.J. Haab is the official starting quarterback. Last season Haab shared time with Charley Minichino. Minichino is still practicing at quarterback in case he’s needed but Haab is the main guy and Jimmy Mattos is the backup. Taylor said the Rams are in a good situation with 3 QBs that are capable of starting and he’ll play the best person during the season, whomever that may be.
