Forum: Talk Rays

The Rays are back at the Trop, where they’ve gone 16-8 this season and their pitchers have allowed only one homer in the last 10 games. They’d like to keep both of those trends going with 10 straight at home coming up.
By all accounts, it appears Troy Percival is ready to go tonight. He tweaked his left hamstring a bit Tuesday night, wasn’t needed Wednesday and had yesterday off. Joe Maddon said he’s fine, and Percival agreed. Did he try to test it out any just to see if it was OK?
“It felt all right on the third hole yesterday,” he said.
Fair enough.
Here’s how they’ll line ‘em up tonight:
Orioles
Roberts 2B
Mora 3B
Markakis RF
Huff DH
Millar 1B
Scott LF
Hernandez C
Jones CF
Bynum SS
Guthrie P
Rays
Iwamura 2B
Crawford LF
Upton CF
Pena 1B
Longoria 3B
Floyd DH
Navarro C
Hinske RF
Bartlett SS
Garza P

Hey Marc, love the blog. Keep up the good work. Want to hear what you think and what you have been hearing about the draft. I understand that they are going for the best player available, which will be hard to determine with what is called a very weak draft class with no stand outs. Me personally, I have not been that impressed with Bragnic (sorry about the spelling)in AAA and would consider taking Beckham if he has the defensive tools to be a quality SS. The last thing the rays need is to convert another high school SS to the outfield. Your thoughts?
