Sounds like Delmon Young’s first media session in Twins camp might have been interesting. Asked about Carl Crawford’s good-riddance implications from earlier this week, Young told reporters he hadn’t read anything.
“I’m not really too much worried,” he said. “They got their own stuff in St. Pete and we’ve got our own stuff down here and in Minnesota. All I can worry about is these 25 guys and the front office over here.”
Looks like Young’s best response came when asked about his being lumped in with Elijah Dukes as players the Rays are happy not to have around anymore.
“If they’re trying to blame us for the way they weren’t winning — if it was us two, we weren’t there from ‘98 to ‘06, so …”
