ST. PETERSBURG—If you’re watching the Rays game on TV and don’t see All-Star left fielder Carl Crawford, that’s because he was pulled from today’s game before the top of the inning with left shoulder soreness.
Ben Zobrist came into the game and took over in right field for Sean Rodriguez, who moved to left.
There’s no reason at this point to think the injury is serious. Crawford batted in the first inning and grounded out to second. He played left field the first two innings.
