Could there be more trouble for the USF men’s basketball program? The Bulls are off to a 7-1 start on the court, but off-the-court news has hounded the program recently.
According to a report published on Fanhouse.com, USF sophomore guard Anthony Crater won’t be eligible to return to the team as expected on Dec. 12.
A transfer from Ohio State, Crater is reportedly suspended until January for a violation of school policy.
The report also states that NCAA officials have begun an investigation into alleged NCAA violations by the program that surfaced two weeks ago.
USF sports information director Chris Freet told The Tampa Tribune on Thursday morning that to his knowledge the NCAA had not contacted USF about the alleged violations.
Stay tuned as we try to get some official confirmation from USF on Crater’s availability and any contact with the NCAA over the alleged violations.

I’m not a fan of Brett McJerky.
I hope all this turns out to be bitter inanities of a grumpy old man.
