Hey folks, good Friday morning.
As we all know, conference expansion talk/rumors/fantasies are going to fill up the blogosphere until the Big Ten or other conferences pull the trigger on some deals.
Hard news has been hard to come by the past few weeks on this topic, but a couple of interesting insights have popped up this morning.
First, The Columbus Dispatch obtained an e-mail from Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee to Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany that shows Texas as a real target of the Big Ten.

Of course, USF officials are keeping a close eye on all the expansion talk since once the dominos fall, the Big East could be affected.
USF’s athletic department received a tremendous boost when the school joined the Big East five years ago, making the Bulls a member of a BCS conference.
USF’s worst fear is that it somehow gets left out of the BCS should major conference expansion happen in the next couple of years.
Hey, if that ever is a real threat, this USF sports blogger has some experience working with school officials on why USF should be a BCS school.
Plus, the job probably pays more than $8 an hour nowadays thanks to some of that Big East money the Bulls have received the past few years.
