Coaches doling out the discpline

A pair of starting quarterbacks who were put in timeout, so to speak, will return to the field this week.
Plant City coach Wayne Ward said Bennie Coney will return this week. Coney was benched in last Friday’s district game at Newsome for disciplinary reasons. He’ll start against Chamberlain Friday night.
Alonso coach Lee Meitzler said Dylan Fisher will start this Friday when the Ravens travel to play Tampa Bay Tech. Fisher was also benched for disciplinary reasons in Alonso’s loss to Hillsborough last Friday night.
Two Brandon High starters were benched in last Friday’s victory against East Bay. Eagles coach John Lima would not name the players, but said their return depends on how they do this week.
