City of Tampa honoring Plant High

City of Tampa officials want to congratulate Plant High School with a special celebration.

Several city dignitaries will be on hand Friday for a “Victory Rally” at the City Hall Plaza at 1 p.m. Mayor Pam Iorio is one of the officials expected to attend.

The celebration will honor Plant’s football, volleyball and girls tennis team, all of which won state titles last year. It’s the third time city officials have honored Plant for it’s state championship achievements.

Plant’s volleyball team won its fourth-consecutive state title, while the football team won its third state title in four years. The girls tennis team won a state championship last spring, a first for Hillsborough County.
