Each year, Hillsborough County sends dozens of football standouts to the college ranks. Here is a look at what some of them did during the past week for their respective teams. We’ll put together a list each Monday.

Alabama defensive back Javier Arenas (Robinson) had seven tackles and a sack in a 26-21 win over Auburn.

Middle Tennessee State defensive back Alex Suber (Jefferson) had eight tackles, a sack and an interception in a 38-19 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Illinois receiver Fred Sykes (Chamberlain) had two receptions for 32 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-36 loss to Cincinnati.

Florida Atlantic running back Willie Rose (Gaither) had 43 rushing yards on six carries and two receptions for 30 yards in a 29-23 win over Western Kentucky.

Middle Tennessee State defensive back Kevin Brown (Jefferson) had seven tackles and an interception in a 38-19 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Georgia Tech running back Anthony Allen (Jesuit) had four carries for 29 yards in a 30-24 loss to Georgia.

South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia (Jefferson) was 10 of 21 passing for 216 yards, three touchdowns and one interception and also rushed for 46 yards on 14 carries in a 34-17 win over Clemson.

Auburn running back Eric Smith (Armwood) had a one-yard touchdown reception in a 26-21 loss to Alabama.

South Florida receiver Carlton Mitchell (Gaither) had one reception for 21 yards in a 31-10 loss to Miami.

Illinois receiver Jarred Fayson (Hillsborough) had two receptions for 67 yards in a 49-36 loss to Cincinnati.

Georgia tight end Orson Charles (Plant) had one reception for nine yards in a 30-24 win over Georgia Tech.

Buffalo defensive back Sherrod Lott (Plant City) had four tackles and a fumble recovery in a 9-6 win over Kent State.

South Florida running back Lindsey Lamar (Hillsborough) had two carries for one yard and one reception for 11 yards in a 31-10 loss to Miami.

Florida State defensive lineman Moses McCray (Hillsborough) had one tackle in a 37-10 loss to Florida.

Florida Atlantic linebacker Malik Eugene (Freedom) had three tackles and a fumble recovery in a 29-23 win over Western Kentucky.

Arkansas Pine Bluff defensive back James Harrell (Plant) had one tackle in a 14-10 loss to Texas Southern.

Central Florida kicker Nick Cattoi (Gaither) was 2-for-3 on field goal attempts and 4-for-4 on extra point attempts in a 34-27 win over Alabama-Birmingham.

Florida Atlantic tight end Jason Harmon (Riverview) had three receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown in a 29-23 win over Western Kentucky.

Middle Tennessee State D.D. Kyles (Armwood) had 67 rushing yards on nine carries in a 38-19 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Richmond return man Derek Hatcher (Berkeley Prep) had five punt returns for 57 yards in a 16-13 win over Elon.

Elon linebacker Josh Jones (Wharton) had one tackle in a 16-13 loss to Richmond.
