Each year, Hillsborough County sends dozens of football standouts to the college ranks. Here is a look at what some of them did during the past week for their respective teams. We’ll put together a list each Monday.

UCF kicker Nick Cattoi: Gaither product was 3-for-3 on field goal attempts (44, 42, 22) and connected on two kicks in the final six minutes to help the Knights edge Buffalo, 23-17.

Florida A&M defensive back LeRoy Vann: Blake product had punt returns for touchdowns of 40 and 66 yards in the Rattlers’ 48-10 win over Howard. It was the second consecutive game the All-American return specialist had two punt returns for touchdowns in a game, and the two left him with seven total in his career, tying the FCS all-time mark.

Alabama defensive back Javier Arenas: Robinson product had 151 combined return yards, three tackles and two pass breakups in Crimson Tide’s 53-7 rout of North Texas.

South Carolina running back Jarvis Giles: Gaither product had his first 100-yard game in the college ranks, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in the Gamecocks’ 38-16 win over Florida Atlantic.

Auburn running back Eric Smith: Armwood product didn’t have a carry, but he caught four passes for 74 yards in the Tigers’ 41-30 win over West Virginia.

Buffalo defensive back Sherrod Lott: Plant City product finished with four tackles in 23-17 loss to UCF.

Eastern Kentucky receiver Evan Cromer: Jefferson product had two catches for 32 yards in Colonels’ 17-7 win over Tennessee Tech.

Florida linebacker A.J. Jones: Middleton product had three tackles in Gators’ 23-13 win over Tennessee.

Florida State running back Ty Jones: Middleton product had first career 100-yard game in college in Seminoles’ 54-28 win over BYU, rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Middle Tennessee defensive back Alex Suber: Jefferson product had six tackles and two pass breakups in the Blue Raiders’ 32-31 win over Maryland.

Murray State defensive lineman Jamal Crook: Alonso product had seven tackles, including 1.5 for loss and a half sack, in 35-10 loss to Missouri State.

Richmond defensive back Derek Hatcher: Berkeley Prep product had two tackles, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in Spiders’ 47-0 rout of Hofstra.

Stanford punter Daniel Zychlinski: King product had first career punt in Cardinal’s 42-17 win over San Jose State. It went 44 yards and came to rest inside the 20.

Florida Atlantic receiver Chris Bonner: Gaither product had six receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Owls’ 38-16 loss to South Carolina.

Georgia tight end Orson Charles: Plant product had two receptions for 62 yards, including first career touchdown reception, in Bulldogs’ 52-41 win over Arkansas.

Toledo defensive back Andreas Ashwood: Hillsborough product had two tackles and an interception in the Rockets’ 38-0 loss to Ohio State.

Delaware receiver Rob Jones: Armwood product had three receptions for 29 yards, including his first career touchdown reception, in the Blue Hens’ 27-17 win over Delaware State.

USF receiver Carlton Mitchell: Gaither product had four receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown in Bulls’ 59-0 rout of Charleston Southern.
