Chamberlain senior Mark Parrish put together the best performance of his high school track career Friday night in Tallahassee when he eclipsed his school’s 36-year-old record in the two mile run with his time of 9 minutes, 9.26 seconds for 3,200 meters at the FSU Relays.

Not only was that a school record by nearly 10 seconds, Parrish’s time represented an improvement on his personal best of a whopping 28 seconds.
Almost as hard as it is to believe the age of the record Parrish broke, it’s even harder to realize Parrish’s performance was good for sixth place, not first.
