After Monday’s practice, University of South Florida coach Jim Leavitt said junior CB Theo Wilson would not practice again until he was fully cleared academically.
Apparently, the junior college transfer was cleared - or Leavitt changed his stance on Wilson - because he was returning punts during Tuesday’s early practice.
There were a number of players who did not practice, including DB John Lejiste, LB Quavon Taylor, CB George Baker, LB LaDre Watkins, OL Danous Estenor, DL Cory Grissom and TE Andreas Shields. Only Grissom is known to be injured, wearing a boot on his foot.
I’ll be back with more details after the conclusion of Tuesday’s practice.
