The announcement sure looks strange:
Free-agent TE Xavier Lee signs with the Baltimore Ravens.
Call Lee whatever you want, but I’m calling the former FSU part-time quarterback smart for realizing his only shot at the NFL was to change positions. Maybe someday Lee will get a chance to take a snap in the NFL, but he impressed Ravens coach Jim Harbough enough in his free-agrent tryout at tight end for Baltimore to sign him to a deal.
He’ll join the practice squad and attempt to work his way onto the active roster next season. Regardless, Lee getting his shot in the NFL is noteworthy because it brings up an interesting question:
What former Nole has impressed you the most in the NFL after a lackluster career at FSU?
And the answer should be someone other than Antonio Cromartie, because let’s face it, he’s probably the runaway winner currently.

I think Anquan Boldin is up there. Not that he had a bad FSU career, but when he is healthy he is one of the most underrated WRs in the NFL over the past few years.

what will be you next headline? Seminoles who ##### us off because they beat my Gators a few too many times back round the 90’s?
Try to hide your disdain a bit. The overtly negative topics make all your reads ubur-weak and smelling of poor steroid rage .....

I like Brad Johnson in this competition as well. I don’t think many people expected him to have such a prolific NFL career after leaving FSU…

Brad Johnson is the clear winner. Dennis McKinnon and Marion Butts deserve honorable mention.

X did not “realize” his only shot was at TE. Jimbo did that for him.

Hands down AD McPherson. For me, even Brad Johnson’s superbowl with the Bucks doesnt top AD Mac bowing out after gettin T-boned by T Rac! Check out smoking gun for the details on the lawsuit...definitely in the “you cant make this stuff up” category.

Brad Johnson… even if it’s an obvious pick.

Don’t forget about “Trouble”. Laveranues Coles played second fiddle to one Peter Warrick while at FSU. I think we know who had the better NFL career.
