This has been a big year for Robinson High School, as the school is celebrating its 50th anniversary. It has also been a big year for the school’s football program, which has been among Hillsborough County’s most surprising teams and is making a run at the program’s first district title since 1977.
And Knights coach Mike DePue, who has been affiliated with the school for nearly three decades as a coach and teacher, is hoping it all will lead to a big reunion for former Knights players at the team’s final regular-season home game.
DePue is asking all former Robinson football players to attend the Knights’ Nov. 6 matchup against Strawberry Crest at Jack Peters Field. DePue plans to recognize all of the players on the field during halftime of the game.
The Knights’ game against the Chargers, which is the team’s final district game, also will serve as Robinson’s Senior Night.
