As this game drags on, I feel moved to mention a handful of recent ex-Rays returning to the big leagues thanks to roster expansion…
—The Mets today brought up Al Reyes from Double-A—and designated Ruddy Lugo for assignment to clear a roster spot for El Asesino
—The Braves brought up Jeff Ridgway. Pretty good deal, the Rays getting Willy Aybar for him
—The Twins summoned Jason Pridie, the other guy who headed north along with Delmon Young and Brendan Harris in The Big Deal
