ROGER MOONEY
ARLINGTON, Texas
Here’s a little pre-series kismet for the Rays.

You remember how Joe Maddon referenced the scene from “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” when the desperados on the lam couldn’t shake the posse and Butch turned to Sundance and said, “Who are those guys?”

Anyway, Maddon wanted the Red Sox to feel the same way about the Rays during the stretch.

OK, today’s anthem singer was B.J. Thomas, who sang “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head.”

That song won an Oscar for best original song for the movie …

“Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”
