The boys are locked in their annual meeting with MLB security, but we’ve got plenty to discuss. Onward!
* Dioner Navarro returns to the starting lineup tonight. He said the plan is for him to get three innings in the field and one or two at-bats.
* J.P. Howell will start tomorrow night’s game against the Reds, perhaps his last audition for the final spot in the rotation. The scheduled starter, Scott Kazmir, will instead start the Triple-A game at the Naimoli Complex during the afternoon. The Bulls face Scranton, the Yankees’ top affiliate, at 1 p.m. Dan Miceli also will pitch in that game.
* Two more cuts this afternoon: veterans Hee-Seop Choi and Yamid Haad have been reassigned to minor-league camp. There are now 38 players remaining.
