USF started slow, but finished strong in the Bulls’ 40-7 victory against Division I-AA Wofford Saturday.
Here are some links from our stories in Sunday’s Tampa Tribune: my game story, a column from Joe Henderson, game notes from Gregg Becnel and a photo gallery from Saturday’s game.
Also, thanks to everyone who participated in the first week of the picks contest. Remember, it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Here’s the link where you can check the updated standings. Click on to “leaders” tab to see where you rank among all those that entered.
The standings are now updated with every game except Monday’s Cincinnati-Rutgers contest.

Brett… Not sure if your scoreboard tally system is wrong or right… The ESPN box score has Bogan as the leading receiver (yardage wise). I got credit even though I said he wouldn’t be the leading receiver (I believe you did as well). It would be nice to stay on top of the leaderboard, but it would also be a tainted victory. If it’s a computer generated error, I bet everybody’s score is off by one then in either direction.

Terry, thanks. That’s what I get for updating the results at 1 a.m. - looked at receptions instead of yards. It’s been corrected. I’m sure some folks will be happy, others not so happy. Thanks again.
