USF’s men’s soccer team scored a victory Thursday over nationally-ranked Ohio State, defeating the Buckeyes 2-1 at the FGCU Soccer Classic in Fort Myers.
Midfielder Bernardo Anor netted what proved to be the game-winner in the 82nd minute for the Bulls. Midfielder Shawn Chin also scored for USF, while goalkeeper Jeff Attinella made three saves to help the Bulls win their third straight. Ohio State was ranked ninth in both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Soccer America polls.
USF (3-1-1) returns to the pitch Saturday against Drexel.
