Tampa Bay has signed safety Donte Nicholson to beef up its secondary since Jermaine Phillips suffered an arm injury recently.
As a result, Tampa Bay released WR Brian Clark and resigned him to its practice squad.
Nicholson was originally a fifth round draft choice by Tampa Bay in 2005. He appeared in 11 games games before being waived-injured prior to this season.
In addition, RB Cadillac Williams is in pads and going through practice with the team on Monday morning. We are not sure how much contact he might face this week, but his activity shows Tampa Bay might be seriously considering allowing him to rejoin its 53-man roster this season.

Gruden never ever used the Shot Gun until Garcia came to town last year. If he had used it with past QBs (Simms comes to mind), they may still be here. Gruden’s head is like steel, his play book is written in Chinese and he is the Offensive Guru of the Dink Pass. He needs a new nick name, how about “Dinky Pinkie Joni”. He is obviously allergic to RED, his play calling in the Red Zone is Dink and not Think! He never throws into the end zone or never down field. He is “The Incompetent Leading The Unwilling To Do The Unnecessary ”

Let’s put it this way if we are going to beef up our saftey position wouldn’t be worth a look to get John Lynch back here. He knows the system and he still has a little left in the tank. That way he can then retire a BUC since he never should have left.

If last week’s game showed anything, it showed that Jon Gruden (Coach Dum Dum) should let Jeff Garcia call his own plays. Face it Jon, your game plans are not much to behold. Look Jon Garcia is 37, old enough to be another coach, but one who has played this game at this level. You have not. Jeff has a better field for what is happening on the field. Put the emphasis on Jeff calling the plays with coaches making suggestions. If not, you should get out of the way.
