Same time as signing Jason Taylor we need a DT also because we have none now. I say sign Tank Johnson and Jason Taylor.  That would be a pretty solid line for a couple years anyway.

Is anyone even thinking that maybe Igor Olshansky is just sitting out there waiting for a contract from someone. At 6’6 300lbs he is a freak of a DE, he doesn’t have the numbers of any of the premier pass rushers but he is a heck of a run stuffer and if you look at the NFC south, they are all capable of 100+ yd rushers every game, and his presence would definitely free up Geno Hayes, or Barrett Ruud to get pressure up the gut to stuff them for a possible loss everytime, plus Igor has the speed to match with Gaines is shutting down the seams. Blue-chip talent at a bargain price.

Good point on Igor Olshansky, being available.  He isn’t an end in a 4-3 but he should fit as NT, and he is relatively young and wouldn’t command huge dollars.

Taylor might be a nice 1 year addition to the defence. If healthy he can still get it done…but is he willing to do the work required to stay healthy?

Who is this Niko Koutouvides from Denver?  I see he had 1 tackle & 1 assist last year.  Did he play more than 1 game?  Is he healthy?  Denver didn’t even have him listed on their depth chart on Dec 28th?

If not, get off the bandwagon and let the remaining ‘True’ Buc fans take your spot! All this chatter about the new regime and their signing of Niko Koutouvides is crazy. How many out there heard of James Harrison 3 years ago? Did you know he also played on ‘Special Team’ in Pittsburgh before getting his shot?

Yes, Yes sign J Taylor for one year minimum pay with “incentives”  In addition, sign V Holliday (just released by Dolphins) & Crowder / Dolphins LB / free agent. Bucs are in need of IMPACT defensive players & all three would be a good start.  PS:  All played for Bates when he was in Miami.

Would like to see JT as a Buc could teach Gaines a few things about effort and play in the NFL. Need a BIG DT to shore up the run defense and for depth . Maybe Sims will get in good shape and play up to his potental,still would’ve liked the BUcs to resign Haye . Besides Rudd who starts at Lb for the Bucs ? Front office has alot of work left to go . Still think they made a mistake with Brooks , he could have stayed in a reduced role .

If the Bucs are going to stay true with what they are doing they are not going to sign anybody in there later years.  If they falter from that than the Brooks decision was all for not.  They picked up some good FA’s but the defense is still lacking. I hope all the cuts don’t hurt us.  We are known for are defense but if the offense produces I will be kind of happy.  Defense wins games, we definitely need help there!
