One day after the Buccaneers were shredded by the Panthers on Monday Night Football, the executives at NBC piled on Tuesday. Tampa Bay’s home game against San Diego on Dec.21 has been shifted out of the network’s prime time slot in favor of a more appealing matchup.
NBC opted for Carolina (10-3) at the New York Giants (11-2), a game in which the No.1 seed in the NFC could be at stake.
The Bucs game against the Chargers will be at 1 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium. It will be televised on CBS.

That’s what we get for playing like pure garbage on da national stage and we wonder why we don’t get national love THATS WHY !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness. After the way they played, I hope we never have another night game. I will be dreading any night game we have for a while after that disaster on D. All playoff games are televised everywhere. Let’s hope we get in there and show everyone what the team can really do. I wish the 1st Carolina game had been the one everyone got to see. The chances of us getting any decent amount of media attention just got slimmer. Oh well. Let’s just hope that never happens again.

I wouldn’t say the reason was because of the Bucs overall though…San Diego has been sucking this season and execs know this matchup isn’t what they thought it was going to be based on San Diego’s pathetic season.

Don’t wanna make excuses, but the Bucs played so un-characteristic football, it made me believe that the game was linked to Vegas. A bunch of missed tackling-No one wrapped up, dropped passes in the back field, our running game (49 yards), so many penalties, damn near on every play there was a damn flag…At a time when we did have some big plays (Antonio B) on offense. It was overshadowed by another TD by Carolina. I have always been excited to watch my bucs and but, for once I wanted to cut the tv off.

FROM THE FIRST POSSESION THAT I SAW I KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO LOOSE. THEY LOOKED AFRAID AND WITHOUT LIFE. THE OTHER TEAM WAS MORE PREPARED AND READY THEY WANTED IT MORE. BUCCANEERS NEED TO RE-GROUP AND REALIZE THAT YOU PLAY EVERY GAME LIKE IT WAS YOUR LAST GAME . THERE IS NO TOMORROW NOW.

Dude, turn off the CAPS LOCK. Jesus.
Thanks for being so accommodating in taking that whipping from us on the national stage. And tell your coach we’re not called the North Carolina Panthers.

Kiffin coached like he was already gone to Tennessee! I say let him go already and join his over-rated son up in the Rocky Mountains! The Florida Gators are going to crush them next year anyway..Sat what you might, but Warren Sapp was dead on with his comments! Kiffin never makes game time adjustments and last night proved it…
Suggest removalPor (ref813) on December 09, 2008 (Suggest removal)
Mike, is Charlotte in North Carolina? Then, why don’t they call you the North Carolina Panthers? Your team is trying to make it out like it belongs to S.C., too, so they can get more fans. I wouldn’t be making fun of Gruden for a simple mistake, which accurately described your team’s location. Anyway, enjoy being a loser who has to come here and gloat. We beat you by 24. You beat us by 15. Which is worse?

huge advantage for the bucs, west coast team playing at 1 pm est

While that was a poor performance. it was one game. As for you Carolina fan, at least we scored more than 3 points in the road game. In our Superbowl year, we got handled in a night game (at home) by Pittsburgh. After that, we rolled. Hopefully they adjust accordingly and finish strong. The division is there for us as we have a much easire remainder of the season compared to Carolina. Don’t jump off the bandwagon just yet.

It’s more of a reflection on the Chargers dismal season. The timing was only for NBC to decide on the Carolia-Giant game or the Steeler-Titan game.

Great…Another Giants game to watch. Won’t that make the 5th time this year the will be on Sunday night?

Charlotte is quite a large and spread out city. The suberbs extend well into South Carolina toward Rock Hill. You could say the City claims both states, to a degree, but the city is in North Carolina. Panther fans should be more concerned about their upcoming schedule instead of rubbing 1 loss in the Bucs’ fans faces. Again, this is not a Panther site and we are not in your house talking trash as you are in ours. We’ll see where this ends up, but as it stands, the Bucs still have a better conference record, tied in Div record and remain just 1 game back. With a Buc win and Carolina loss, the Bucs will still be ahead with the tie-breaker. Don’t count your chickens too soon Kitty Kitty.

Ok, Ok!! It was mind blowing, way crazy, totally out of character BUC ball! But let’s not all act like typical band wagon buccaneers fan. It was a bad game, and if we have another one it will show we are not ready for the playoffs. That hurt to see us get a beat down on national TV. Which all of you Carolina fans should remember how we did the same thing to you in our house! At least for most of the game we were in it ! Yes, you huge talent, are you the better team? - let’s give it 3 more weeks to see. I am not convinced you are. No way, no how, on most given Sundays does that ever happen to our defense. Such a shame when our offense finally looked tight!

kiffin never makes adjustments? kiffin is famous for making good adjustments. one bad night and his whole career is sh1t? the bucs D has been phenominal almost all season during the second half. but then again, i cant expect anyone who agrees with sapp to be capable of making an itteligent comment.
Suggest removalPor (Chris Stanisci) on December 10, 2008 (Suggest removal)
This is set up perfectly. If the Bucs can win the next two games, I can enjoy watching the the Panthers lose to the Giants on Sunday Night Football at the Meadowlands. Which in turn would give the Bucs the NFC South and the #2 seed in the playoffs.

Isn’t it also interesting that the Bucs were game planning for the Falcons last week.

I blame the time change on Gruden!
Suggest removalPor (Terry Taylor) on December 10, 2008 (Suggest removal)
It was only one bad game out off 13. Think about it…........this was the worst game the Bucs defense has played all year. The offense is still the same mediocre offense under the GREAT mind of Gruden. Who the heck is the offensive coordinator? And we could have easily won the games we lost earlier in the season. That two-back attack works but we are too conservative to invest in two good, young backs like the Panthers did. And you know that in 2010 one of them will be on the market or a holdout for $$$. OK, OK, we will win atleast two of the last three games. GO BUCS!!!!!!
Suggest removalPor (Evan Rosenbaum) on December 10, 2008 (Suggest removal)
NY and Carolina is a much better game. The Panthers are poised to take sole control of 1st place next Sunday when Smash and Dash hand Eli and pals another loss. Tampa and and San Diego….what a snooze fest. We would be watching LT under achieve like he has done all season, and Garcia toss these boring 5-10 yard passes all night. Go Panthers!
Suggest removalPor (GloboBall) on December 12, 2008 (Suggest removal)
Smash and Dash?!? What the F is that?
Are you talking about a football team or Cartoon Network? Well, on second thought Carolina is pretty much a joke.
PEWTER POWER!
