That felt a lot like a Brian Griese outing, didn’t it? Nothing like heart palpitations. We were all thinking the same thing - not against Kansas City! Thankfully the guys hung in there and found a way to recover from the self-inflicted wounds of the first half.
Here’s a question: Where was Michael Bennett? I thought that he was going to get a long afternoon of work with Warrick Dunn back in Tampa, and especially with his being a former Chief. If I’m not mistaken, I saw him take two snaps and make one carry. Then I saw Clifton Smith - you know, the guy we signed from the practice squad to return kicks - playing Warrick Dunn’s position. I’m wondering what Bennett has done to find himself in Gruden’s doghouse. Anyone have any ideas?
Speaking of Clifton Smith, what a wonderful kick-off return. We’re two in two seasons after a lifetime of no TD returns. So, what do we do with Dexter Jackson now?
A couple more shouts: Antonio Bryant and Alex Smith had some nice catches today. Tanard Jackson played great. Barrett Ruud played very well. Ronde Barber was toasted by Tyler Thigpen, but I think he had his eye’s on the bobbled pitch in the backfield. It happens. Matt Bryant came through (nice that he had three tries to make that field goal in OT).
All in all, we’re 6-3. Not bad. What did you see out there?

Hi Preach;
The Sunday and Monday night games have not been played, but you need both of those game picks to have even a respectable week this week. I warned you, right now you are 7 out of 12 and that’s only 58%. Good luck tonight and tomorrow night, you need it!!!!!!!

Hey Preacher from a Youth Pastor in Oklahoma! I think you forgot Michael Clayton. While not world shaking, he was VERY solid today. I think he’s FINALLY starting to get back to rookie form.
