Came across a very interesting stat in the USA Today I wanted to pass along to you guys.
According to USA Today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the third lowest payroll of any NFL team ($84,501,322) in 2009. St. Louis had the lowest payroll of any NFL team at $62,384,821, while Kansas City was second by spending $83,187,156.
The New York Giants spent the most money of any team by dishing out $137,638,866.
Here is the link to the USA Today numbers: 2009 NFL Payroll
In addition, if you click on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers link, you can see how much each individual player earned in 2009.
Do you guys think there is any relationship between money spent and success?
