The word going around the Bucs training camp Thursday is that their former star linebacker, Derrick Brooks, is now headed to Oakland for a try-out with the Raiders.
Brooks, who has spent every minute of his 14-year NFL career in a Bucs jersey, was released by the club earlier this year. Brooks spent Tuesday with the New Orleans Saints but left the Big Easy without a contract. Now it appears he headed west in hopes of playing at least one more season.

You should hang it up, really. Spending an entire Hall of Fame career with one team is rare.
