The Tampa Bay Buccaneers expected to host former Cleveland safety Brodney Pool on Friday, but he has to be scratched from the Bucs’ wish list.
ESPN reporter Adam Schefter is reporting that the New York Jets reached an agreement on a one-year, $1.3 million deal with Pool on Thursday night. Pool Signs With Jets
Pool, 25, was originally a second-round draft pick by Cleveland (34th overall) in 2005. Although he did not start as a rookie, Pool did have one interception.
Over the last four seasons, Pool started 49 games and had 10 interceptions.
However, Pool will join free agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who was recently traded to the Jets.
