University of South Florida punter Justin Brockhaus-Kann has been named the Big East Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the Bulls win over Miami on Saturday.
Brockhaus-Kann averaged 41 yards on a career-high 10 punts. Two of those punts were for 50 yards or more and two came to rest inside the Miami 20-yard line. Brockhaus-Kann also helped keep Miami’s punt return unit in check; the Hurricanes managed only 28 yards on seven returns.
Freshman quarterback Bobby Eveld was included on the weekly honor roll. Eveld, who entered the game at the start of the third quarter in relief of an injured B.J. Daniels, finished 8 of 15 for 120 yards in leading the Bulls comeback win.
