Brandon senior football player Sean Watson will sign with NAIA program William Penn University, Eagles coach John Lima said Wednesday.
Watson did just about everything in 2009 for the Eagles, starting on offense (at receiver) and defense (at defensive back) while handling most of the kicking and return duties on special teams.
He finished as the Eagles’ leading receiver in 2009 with 26 catches for 471 yards and six touchdowns. He also finished as the team’s second leading tackler with 66 stops and led the Eagles with five interceptions. And he averaged 38.5 yards per punt, 17 yards per punt return and converted 15 extra-point attempts and three field goals as the place kicker.
